ACLS Provider Class (Class with skills) Description Information ACLS Provider Class (Class with skills) The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of pre-arrest emergencies (Bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

Instructors will teach caregivers how to provide a safe sleep environment and what dangers to eliminate. Families who are on government assistance and are at least 6 months pregnant will receive a Pack-n-Play. (Age restriction is limited to the child being no older than 6 months or less than 20 lbs. Every year thousands of children die or suffer injuries due to the improper use of car seats and restraints. This 90-minute program will teach you the proper selection, use, installation and progression of car and booster seats for infants, toddlers and children not yet ready to use adult seat belts, or those under 4’ 9” tall. The program is based on best practice guidelines. Safe Kids Greater Augusta also provides car or booster seats to families who are on government assistance, and the mother must be at least 6 months pregnant or already have a child.
