BLS Instructor Description Information BLS Instructor The American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course prepares you to teach the American Heart Association First Aid and CPR Courses. There is an online portion of the course, followed by the classroom session. After completing the instructor course you will need to teach within 6 months. You will be monitored teaching during your first course and then at least once every 2 years. You will receive your instructor card after you teach your first course.
