Profile

Manchester CPR Programs According to Injury Facts 2017, choking is the 4th leading cause of unintentional injury or death. Of the 5,051 people who died from choking in 2015, 2,848 were over 74 years old. Living alone and having ill fitting dentures can increase your risk of choking. If you see someone clutching their throat, coughing, gagging, wheezing or passed out, would you know what to do? If you were alone and choking could you save yourself? All of our courses teach The Heimlich Maneuver, chest thrust to relieve choking! According to the American Heart Association (AHA) each year more than 350,000 people experience cardiac arrest outside of the hospital. 39.5% occurs in public, 27.5% at home & 18.2% in nursing homes. Sadly in 2017 Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics reported that only 45.7% of those who experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest receive CPR from bystanders. CPR, especially if administered immediately after cardiac arrest, can double or triple a person’s chance of survival. Our training center is aligned with the AHA which, ensures that all of our students learns the most up to date techniques for performing CPR and First Aid.
