ACLS Hybrid Course (Online & Skills) Description Information ACLS Hybrid Course (Online & Skills) HeartCode is a Web-based, self-paced instructional program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning. After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor or on a voice-assisted manikin (VAM) system. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card.

Heartsaver Firstaid/CPR/AED Hybrid Online & Skills Description Information Heartsaver Firstaid/CPR/AED Hybrid Online & Skills According to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately 3.3 million injuries and illnesses occur annually in the workplace. Also, approximately 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital. That’s why it’s important to include first aid, CPR and AED training as part of your safety program. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is an online, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over. Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus a skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years. This program can be completed at work, at home or wherever Internet access is available. It can be used for initial or renewal training. Students also have access to all information in the online program for 24 months after activation of their course key

BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Hybrid Online & Skills Description Information BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Hybrid Online & Skills The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.
Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

ACLS Update Description Information ACLS Update The ACLS provider course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of pre-arrest emergencies (bradychardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

PALS Renewal Description Information PALS Renewal Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

PEARS Provider Description Information PEARS Provider Updated to reflect the 2010 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC, PEARS® helps healthcare providers develop the knowledge and skills needed for emergency evaluation and treatment of seriously ill infants and children. PEARS teaches providers how to recognize respiratory distress, shock and cardiac arrest, and provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until the child is transferred to an advanced life support provider. Heartsaver Firstaid/CPR/AED Hybrid Online & Skills Description Information Heartsaver Firstaid/CPR/AED Hybrid Online & Skills According to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately 3.3 million injuries and illnesses occur annually in the workplace. Also, approximately 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital. That’s why it’s important to include first aid, CPR and AED training as part of your safety program. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is an online, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over. Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus a skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years. This program can be completed at work, at home or wherever Internet access is available. It can be used for initial or renewal training. Students also have access to all information in the online program for 24 months after activation of their course key

BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Hybrid Online & Skills Description Information BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Hybrid Online & Skills The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.
Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

PALS Hybrid Course (Online & Skills) Description Information PALS Hybrid Course (Online & Skills) HeartCode PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support. After completing Part 1, students practice and test their skills with an AHA PALS Instructor. Upon successful completion of all parts of the course, students receive an AHA PALS course completion card, valid for two years.
