NHS – BLS CPR Online Key Code - PART 1 Description Information NHS – BLS CPR Online Key Code - PART 1 This is a blended learning course for CPR for Healthcare Provider certification. It consists of an online didactic learning and testing portion - PART 1; and a classroom skills session – PART 2. FMH Private Class ACLS Renewal Description Information FMH Private Class ACLS Renewal Approximately a 6 – 8 hour renewal course designed for students who are currently ACLS certified. Course work contains obligatory AHA lectures and reviews the identification and treatment of medical conditions contributing to cardiac arrest; treatment choices for arrest and peri-arrest patients; BLS adult CPR techniques; recognition of algorithms; interpretation of arrhythmias and appropriate ACLS drug therapy. Course cost includes the Student Provider Manual which is shipped to the student upon prepayment. Upon course completion, with a passing score on the written exam, and successful Megacode skills evaluations, students receive an AHA ACLS Provider certification card valid for two years. (Note: BLS certification is not included in this course.)

NHS - CPR AED Skills for Lay Persons Description Information NHS - CPR AED Skills for Lay Persons Heartsaver CPR/AED Skills Session: This is a 3-part course, designed for the lay rescuer (childcare providers, coaches, scout leaders, parents, etc.) who may be required to provide occasional CPR with AED use. Lay rescuers are not healthcare providers and are not expected to participate regularly in patient care. Part 1 consists of an online portion which tests didactic learning. Part 2 is a classroom instructor-led practice session for practical skills including CPR/AED use for adults, children and infants, and choking relief. Part 3 is classroom testing of all practical skills. The online portion of the course, Part 1, is accessed using a “key code” on the AHA online website. Students must successfully pass Part 1, the online course, and print their Certificate of Completion. This Certificate must be surrendered to the instructor to allow the student entry to the classroom for Parts 2 and 3, the practical skills practice and testing session.

AHA BLS Provider Description Information AHA BLS Provider Formerly referred to as, "BLS for Healthcare Provider", this is approximately a 5 hour comprehensive course designed to fulfill the certification needs of a wide variety of first responders and professional rescuers, including doctors, nurses, technicians, EMTs, CNAs, lifeguards, police and others. AHA BLS Provider Description Information AHA BLS Provider Formerly referred to as, "BLS for Healthcare Provider", this is approximately a 5 hour comprehensive course designed to fulfill the certification needs of a wide variety of first responders and professional rescuers, including doctors, nurses, technicians, EMTs, CNAs, lifeguards, police and others. Topics include: CPR techniques for patients age newborn through adult; AED use for patients of all ages; two rescuer CPR/AED use; rescue breathing with pocket mask and BVM system, with and without advanced airway; and choking relief for all ages. (This course may also be taken by members of the general public.) Upon successful course completion, with a passing score on the written exam, students receive an AHA certification card valid for two years.

NHS - CPR AED Skills for Lay Persons Description Information NHS - CPR AED Skills for Lay Persons Heartsaver CPR/AED Skills Session: This is a 3-part course, designed for the lay rescuer (childcare providers, coaches, scout leaders, parents, etc.) who may be required to provide occasional CPR with AED use. Lay rescuers are not healthcare providers and are not expected to participate regularly in patient care. Part 1 consists of an online portion which tests didactic learning. Part 2 is a classroom instructor-led practice session for practical skills including CPR/AED use for adults, children and infants, and choking relief. Part 3 is classroom testing of all practical skills. The online portion of the course, Part 1, is accessed using a “key code” on the AHA online website. Students must successfully pass Part 1, the online course, and print their Certificate of Completion. This Certificate must be surrendered to the instructor to allow the student entry to the classroom for Parts 2 and 3, the practical skills practice and testing session.
