ACLS Refresher 1 Day Description Information ACLS Refresher 1 Day The ACLS provider course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of pre-arrest emergencies (bradychardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

BLS Instructor Description Information BLS Instructor This course is only intended for individuals who have previous experience as a healthcare professional and have a desire to teach American Heart Association BLS & Heartsaver Courses. This program is the hands on/in-person lecture of the BLS Instructor Essentials Course. The course will review the the American Heart Association organization, AHA Training Center responsibilities, AHA Training Site responsibilities, specific policies and procedures from the Training Center and Training Site, as well as a brief overview of the variations of AHA courses and content. Following the completion of this program, the candidate has 6 months to be monitored during a classroom session by AHA Training Faculty. The instructor candidate can not teach a course until all of the above steps are completed.
