American Heart Association BLS Instructor Course
The American Heart Association CPR Instructor Course is a two day course. Day one will be completed at home using the AHA BLS Essentials on-line course provided to you upon payment of the course. This program covers information on teaching and will take at least 5 hours to complete. Once completed you will print out a completion certificate. This certificate must be brought to classroom with you on the date of the class. Participants must possess a VALID/UNEXPIRED American Heart Association BLS Provider Card and provide a copy of certification upon payment for the course. Non AHA cards are not acceptable and cannot be accepted for this or any other AHA program.
Day two will be held at JSSC Training in Matawan, NJ. We will cover information such as course organization, policies of both the AHA and JSSC, administration of a course, advertising, equipment cleaning, changes in CPR and why they occur, skills testing, a written test and more. At the completion of the AHA Instructor course, students will still have to be monitored in a BLS Provider course at JSSC, teach courses that will be monitored by our Training Center Faculty.

NJ Emergency Medical Dispatcher
Description
NJ Emergency Medical Dispatcher
This course is the state mandated 32 Hour Emergency Medical Dispatch Program. This course is designed to provide dispatchers (Police/Fire/EMS) with the necessary information and skills to function as an EMD. This course will provide students with the secondary level of certification that is required for any officer or dispatcher who will answer 9-1-1 Medical Calls. Topics include: responsibilities of an EMD, legal/liability issues, providing proper medical instructions by phone, and use of the emergency medical dispatch guide cards. This course includes role-playing simulated 9-1-1 medical calls.
Prerequisites:
A valid Healthcare Provider (or equivalent) CPR card and Current certification as a 911 Basic Telecommunicator or proof of course completion.
