BLS HC Provider CPR Description Information BLS HC Provider CPR The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide heath care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital. EMT-Distance Learn Prgm- Erie City, East, South Co Description Information EMT-Distance Learn Prgm- Erie City, East, South Co The EmergyCare Distance Learning Emergency Medical Technician Training Program combines in-person lab instruction with state-of-the-art video conferencing technology that allows face to face learning. Students attend a live synchronous PA Dept. of Health approved distance learning training course for initial certification by attending a combination of live online based two-way lectures via the internet, and hands on skills sessions that are attended in-person at a local learning site located in Erie, Warren, and Crawford County.

Taught in partnership with Butler County Community College, our programs follow current National EMS Education Standards & combined lecture, hands-on training, & clinical experience into a 184 hour (46 four-hour sessions) program designed to give students a comprehensive prehospital education that helps integrate theory & practice to help students become competent entry-level EMT’s.

How do I attend class? Students attend class based on their geographical classification as follows:

Local Student:(Erie City, East & South Erie County) – Attend all 46 class sessions in person at EmergyCare in Erie, PA.

Distance Student:(West Erie Co., Crawford Co., Warren Co., & surrounding areas) – Attend 26 of the 46 class sessions online with a student supplied device and the free Microsoft Teams Application, and attend the remaining 20 sessions in person at a designated local learning site in Erie, Warren, and Crawford County.

IMPORTANT:.

- The number of online & in-person class sessions listed for Distance Students are estimates and may vary slightly.

- Distance Students must be able to meet the following requirements to attend class online:

- Have access to internet (Cable, DSL) with a consistently strong signal capable of supporting smooth two-way video conferencing via Teams.

- Have access to a functioning computer, tablet, or similar devise that has a working camera, microphone, and speaker that allows the student to fully participate in class.
*Student & Instructor must be able to see, hear and speak with each other at all times during online classes..

A-EMT - Distance Learning Prgm – Grove City Description Information A-EMT - Distance Learning Prgm – Grove City The EmergyCare Distance Learning A-EMT Program is a PA DOH approved course that provides initial certification in AEMT. Through a combination of in-person lab instruction and state-of-the-art video conferencing technology, students attend live online two-way lectures via the internet and the Microsoft Teams Application, and in-person hands-on skills labs at a local in-person learning site in Erie, Warren, Meadville, or Grove City.

- How do I attend class? Students attend the programs 34 sessions based on the class type as follows:.
- 18 Lecture Class Sessions: Attend online with a student supplied device and the free Microsoft Teams App.
- 16 Lab Class Sessions: Attended in-person at a designated local learning site in Erie, Warren, Meadville, or Grove City
