EMT Refresher C Wait List Description Information EMT Refresher C Wait List This is the waiting list for NJ EMT Refresher A covering airway/ventilatory management and patient assessment. Certain groups are being given priority to attend and these will be evaluated by course faculty to determine final enrollment. Eligibility will be assessed in the order in which they register on this waiting list.

The course is the NJ-adapted EMT refresher based on the 2009 National Education Standards published by NHTSA. Successful completion requires full participation in all components and skills of the course and passing written and psychomotor examinations to receive 8.0 core NJ EMT CEUs toward the requirements outlined in N.J.A.C. 8:40A. The National Registry of EMTs accepts NJ CEUs for the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP).

All students must have a valid NJ EMS ID, current CPR provider or instructor card valid for NJ EMS, and current NJ or PA EMT provider card to register. Enrolled students must be physically able to complete all skill evaluations; no skills can be exempted.

Heartsaver CPR/AED Description Information Heartsaver CPR/AED Heartsaver® CPR AED is a CPR course for "non-licensed" staff who need a course completion card. It is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult, Child, and Infant CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.
