BLS Instructor Course
The BLS Instructor Essentials Course teaches information needed to instruct AHA's BLS for Healthcare Providers and Heartsaver classroom courses and to conduct skills practice and skills testing sessions for BLS for Healthcare Providers and Heartsaver eLearning courses. These courses include:

BLS Instructor Essentials covers planning and preparation for courses, instructing courses, conducting written exams and skills testing and keeping your BLS Instructor status current. It includes general information about instructing AHA courses, followed by course-specific information.
IMPORTANT: Prior to taking this course, candidates must have a current course completion card in BLS for Healthcare Providers. Candidates also must have aligned with an AHA BLS Training Center that is accepting new BLS Instructors.

Description
ACLS Hybrid Course
HeartCode is a Web-based, self-paced instructional program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning. After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor or on a voice-assisted manikin (VAM) system. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills tests, students receive a course completion card.

Description
Heartsaver Firstaid CPR and AED Hybrid
According to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately 3.3 million injuries and illnesses occur annually in the workplace. Also, approximately 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital. That’s why it’s important to include first aid, CPR and AED training as part of your safety program.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is an online, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.
Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus a skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years.
This program can be completed at work, at home or wherever Internet access is available. It can be used for initial or renewal training. Students also have access to all information in the online program for 24 months after activation of their course key

BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Hybrid
The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.
Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

PALS Hybrid Course

Also, approximately 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital. That’s why it’s important to include first aid, CPR and AED training as part of your safety program.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is an online, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.
Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus a skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years.
This program can be completed at work, at home or wherever Internet access is available. It can be used for initial or renewal training. Students also have access to all information in the online program for 24 months after activation of their course key

PALS Hybrid Course
Description
PALS Hybrid Course
HeartCode PALS Part 1 is a web-based, self-directed program that teaches healthcare providers knowledge and skills needed to recognize and prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children.
This program uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning about pediatric advanced life support.
After completing Part 1, students practice and test their skills with an AHA PALS Instructor. Upon successful completion of all parts of the course, students receive an AHA PALS course completion card, valid for two years.

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

According to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately 3.3 million injuries and illnesses occur annually in the workplace. Also, approximately 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital. That’s why it’s important to include first aid, CPR and AED training as part of your safety program.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is an online, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.
Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus a skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years.
This program can be completed at work, at home or wherever Internet access is available. It can be used for initial or renewal training. Students also have access to all information in the online program for 24 months after activation of their course key

The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course, web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.
Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

ACLS Hybrid Course

IMPORTANT: Prior to taking this course, candidates must have a current course completion card in BLS for Healthcare Providers. Candidates also must have aligned with an AHA BLS Training Center that is accepting new BLS Instructors.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.

Heartsaver Firstaid CPR and AED Hybrid
According to the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), approximately 3.3 million injuries and illnesses occur annually in the workplace. Also, approximately 80 percent of sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital. That’s why it’s important to include first aid, CPR and AED training as part of your safety program.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online Part 1 is an online, self-directed program. The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.
Completion of the full course includes Part 1 online, plus a skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive an AHA course completion card, valid for two years.
This program can be completed at work, at home or wherever Internet access is available. It can be used for initial or renewal training. Students also have access to all information in the online program for 24 months after activation of their course key

Note: Multiple Part Course, must complete the AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Online Part 1 course via http://spearfishambulance.myonlineaha.org and the in person skills session & testing in our training center classroom at your scheduled time.
