Instructor Methodologies Course Description Information Instructor Methodologies Course This course will help you develop the skills necessary to provide quality EMS instruction to the responders of tomorrow. To enroll, you must have: Proof you are at least 18 years old. Current certification in CPR or current certifications a CPR instructor. Current certification as an EMT or higher-level EMS provider. At least one year of experience in providing EMS as an EMT or higher-level EMS provider. Documentation of at least 16 hours of instructional time. Time must be for the EMS certification program within the last 2 years. This class covers: Components of the learning process Methods of teaching (teaching theory and teaching skills) Preparation Use of a variety of media and materials Purpose and methods of evaluation

Emergency Medical Technician Description Information Emergency Medical Technician Montgomery County EMS Training Institute runs EMT certification programs each year. This program contains instruction necessary to prepare a student to function as an Emergency Medical Technician. After successful completion of this 188-hour program, the student is eligible to sit for the NREMT examination for both NR and Pennsylvania certification. This program is a technical certification training program. Students will be expected to complete reading and all assignments, attend class as well as practical skill training, and complete all program objectives to sit for the NREMT certification exam.
