30-hour EKG Monitor Tech
Description
30-hour EKG Monitor Tech
A simple, no-nonsense approach to understanding EKGs - with a review of general management for hemodynamically significant dysrhythmias.
This 30-hour program is designed for those with little or no background in interpreting EKG rhythms, such as an entry-level nurse. This course will contain information on anatomy and physiology, applying EKG electrodes, using a heart monitor and recognizing sinus, atrial, junctional and ventricular arrhythmias, as well as heart blocks.
Participants who complete the program and pass with an 85% or higher will be given a certificate stating they could be competent as a monitor tech.
Students MUST Complete 6-hour Pre-course Home Study & Attend ALL Class Sessions

Red Cross First Aid
Description
Red Cross First Aid
This is the same accredited program we teach at colleges and hospitals designed for the general public - quick, simple and effective procedures for properly handling simple injuries or life threatening illness. Participants will be familiarized with the local 911 and emergency medical systems. They will also be given proper instruction in the handling of emergencies such as injury, shock, heart attack, stroke, seizures, diabetes, drowning and an array of other medical and injury related complications.
This course is designed to give the participants a simple, no nonsense approach to handling any emergency which may arise in the workplace. In short, we use what we call a "Recognition-Reaction" based principle to make the participants at any level feel comfortable with handling any emergency which may arise until advanced emergency care can be summoned, if needed.
