Description
NJ Emergency Medical Dispatcher
This course is the state mandated 32 Hour Emergency Medical Dispatch Program. This course is designed to provide dispatchers (Police/Fire/EMS) with the necessary information and skills to function as an EMD. This course will provide students with the secondary level of certification that is required for any officer or dispatcher who will answer 9-1-1 Medical Calls. Topics include: responsibilities of an EMD, legal/liability issues, providing proper medical instructions by phone, and use of the emergency medical dispatch guide cards. This course includes role-playing simulated 9-1-1 medical calls.

Description
NJ Emergency Medical Technician - Initial Training
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course is intended to prepare the student for an entry-level position in emergency medical services at the basic provider level. The program is intensive and addresses human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and a wide variety of medical conditions as well as how to medically manage an individual suffering from a medical or traumatic event. The course material is presented through lectures, skill labs, written and practical evaluation sessions, self-study, and clinical observation. Upon successful completion of the course, the student is eligible for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification examination.

This practical, skill-focused course builds safe, confident, and effective defensive pistol fundamentals. You’ll spend one hour covering essential safety, legal considerations, and range procedures in a classroom briefing, then move to five hours of live-fire drills on the range covering real-world skills: safe draw and presentation, accurate marksmanship under stress, reloads, malfunction clearing, positional shooting, and basic movement & target transitions.
Learning objectives:

Demonstrate safe, consistent pistol handling on and off the firing line.
Perform a safe, efficient draw from a concealment holster and present the pistol to target.

This full-day course immerses responders in high-threat scenarios that integrate Care Under Fire principles, live-fire stress exposure, low-light medical operations, and self-rescue techniques. Students progress through targeted lectures, bleeding-control and MARCH-based trauma skills, low-visibility assessments, rescue drags, and complex scenario work that simulates real-world operational environments.
