NJ EMT Refresher C - Trauma Description Information NJ EMT Refresher C - Trauma Refresher C NJ EMT’s require 24 elective CEU credits, along with a 24-hour EMT Refresher to recertify their EMT credentials. This program is designed to satisfy the EMT Refresher component of the renewal for NJ Emergency Medical Technicians. The refresher program has been broken down into three sections: Airway, Trauma and Medical. Refresher C provides a review of Traumatic Emergencies, assessment and treatment options for traumatic emergencies experienced in the prehospital setting. NJAC 8:40 requires that individuals that operate Mobility Assistance Vehicles (MAV’s – also known as ambulettes or wheelchair vans) have certification in an approved assistance program. AHA BLS Instructor Course Description Information AHA BLS Instructor Course There are 4 steps to completing the AHA BLS Instructor course: Have your BLS skills pre-monitored and successfully complete the AHA BLS Provider written exam. This step will be completed at the beginning of the instructor course, and should take approximately 30 minutes. Complete the AHA BLS Essentials online course. This course is approximately 2.5 hours long, and must be completed prior to the instructor course. You will receive your online registration information for this course, when you register and pay for the course. If you are from a department or company, we will invoice that organization if desired. Successfully complete the instructor-led BLS Instructor course. This will be one 8-hour day. Successfully be monitored teaching in a BLS Provider course by a Public Safety Training of South Jersey Faculty. You can schedule this last step, once the first three steps have been completed. You have six months from the instructor course date to successfully complete this post monitoring.

NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care LEO Description Information NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care LEO TECC for Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders (TECC-LEO): An 8-hour classroom course specifically designed for law enforcement officers and other non-EMS first responders. The course covers materials found in the 16-hour TECC provider course at a level appropriate for first responders. It includes 8 hours of content, which includes interactive lectures, skill stations, and patient simulations. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as a TECC-LEO provider for 4 years, and 8 hours of CAPCE credit for qualified participants.
