NJ Emergency Medical Technician - Initial Training
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course is intended to prepare the student for an entry-level position in emergency medical services at the basic provider level. The program is intensive and addresses human anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and a wide variety of medical conditions as well as how to medically manage an individual suffering from a medical or traumatic event. The course material is presented through lectures, skill labs, written and practical evaluation sessions, self-study, and clinical observation. Upon successful completion of the course, the student is eligible for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification examination.

All students will be required to submit student health record including vaccination records. **Additional clinical time is required per regulations in Emergency Room and Ride-A-Long with affiliated BLS Unit.
