Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) Hybrid - NAEMT
The Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) course focuses on critical pediatric physiology, illnesses, injuries and interventions to help EMS practitioners provide the best treatment for sick and injured children in the field.
Topics Include:
The pathophysiology of the most common critical pediatric emergency issues, and critical thinking skills to help practitioners make the best decisions for their patients.
Application of the Pediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT), a tool to help EMS practitioners rapidly and accurately assess pediatric patients.
The importance of family-centered care.
Understanding and communicating with children.
Airway management, breathing and oxygenation.
Cardiac emergencies.
Recognizing child abuse and neglect.
Hypoperfusion and shock.
Newborn resuscitation.
The required materials for the Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) Hybrid Course include:
1. The Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals, EPC Version, Fourth Edition textbook
2. The precourse modules for the EPC Hybrid Course

Description
PHTLS - 10 Ed. HYBRID Skills - NAEMT
This is the HYBRID version of the 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Completion of the online hybrid portion of the program is mandatory prior to coming for one day of skills. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and CAPCE credit.

Description
Geriatric Education EMS (GEMS) 3E - NAEMT
8-hour classroom course for EMTs, paramedics, emergency responders, nurses, physician assistants and physicians that expands upon the curriculum presented in the core course, with more in-depth content and complex scenarios. GEMS empowers EMS practitioners to help improve medical outcomes and quality of life for geriatric patients.
Students who successfully complete this course receive a certificate of completion, wallet card good for four years, and 8 hours of CAPCE credit.
